Everything was great, informative staff, exceptionally good views of the bay. The employees at the hotel were knowledgeable. The location was decent, not very far from Within. Affordable venue set in the nice enough area.

A very nice hotel with very comfortable rooms. Excellent according to the price.
The staff lacks a bit of kindness, nothing too strong to complain about but they do lack a bit of a smile when you check in/check out

Spacious room with enough beds for 5 adults.
Old and dilapidated hotel. Some work is planned for renovation but it is about time because it is getting a bit dilapidated.

The garden
The staff is unkind, unkind and unkind. The breakfast room is cold. You can feel the hotel is 40 years old and not up to date, poorly maintained. It is old, crowded and oppressive.

They had a problem with the reserved suite but the hotel manager and staff solved it quickly and moved us to 2 other rooms. The hotel is nice and very very clean. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfast can be improved but in general it is a nice and comfortable place to rest. It is a classic hotel with charming wood and fireplaces, gardens and furniture from another era . Don't expect a modern hotel.. It is a beautiful and comfortable classic California hotel.
It's a little far from San Francisco. We use it to rest the day before visiting the city once the route of the Oregon coast is finished.

hotel in general I found it beautiful! I loved having a fireplace, it was cold outside, in general I was pleasantly surprised! breakfast was very good and location was a few blocks from Berkeley University
There was no other type of heating, only the fireplace and it was cold in the bathroom, we had to open the shower a little earlier to generate steam and heat it up.

We loved the old elegance and beauty of the hotel as we are in love with vintage homes. Our room was upgraded for no additional charge and we got to go to sleep with a fire burning next to our bed. Our room was lovely, clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the garden, the city and the mountains. There was a kitty perched on a patio roof at the private house next door that was charming (cat lovers here!) The ambience overall was wonderful and relaxing. The breakfast was excellent and we are dying to come back and stay in one of the rooms with the stained glass. Thank you Rose Garden Inn!

Good price for a hotel located in the outskirts of SFrancisco, good wifi and parking. The rooms are fair but very correct. We travel with three children and everything is ok.
Breakfast is small in quantity and variety. Quality can be improved.
